Ryan Carter is an editorial and corporate photographer based Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

His photographs have been featured in numerous international editorial publications including National Geographic (online), the New York Times magazine, D la Repubblica delle Donne (D magazine Italy), and the Globe and Mail.

Ryan's work has been exhibited in group shows in Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, including the Ian Parry exhibition at the Getty Images Gallery in London, the Foto 8 Summer Show at the Host Gallery in London, and the Magenta Foundation - Flash Forward exhibitions in Canada and the United States.

Between 2010 and 2017, Ryan worked as an official photographer for Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, where he covered both domestic and international events. In this position, he gained a fascinating insight into Emirati culture and the inner workings of international politics through the activities of an acting head of state. He covered meetings in more than 30 countries with over 100 different heads of state, including President Obama, President Trump, President Emmanuel Macron, Emperor Akihito of Japan, President Xi Jinping, King Mohamed VI of Morocco, and Queen Elizabeth of the UK.
