Rainbow Gatherings Intro
Every year since 1972, thousands of non-conformist Americans from across the country come together in July to erect temporary communities of tents, camps, and buses on remote public land.
They shun Western materialism and embrace the spirit of free living that has continued quietly since the Woodstock generation of the 1960s and 70s. This idyllic utopian dream is fleeting and has yet to succeeded to establishing a permanent community.
